How I run a design project, start to finish

A calm process is a feature clients feel long before they see the work. Mine is four steps, and each one ends with something you can react to — never a silent week.

01

1. Brief — a few lines is enough

You tell me what you're making, who it's for and when you need it. Photos of what you have now, examples you like and examples you hate all help. If something is unclear, I ask before I quote, not after.

2. A fixed quote and a timeline

You get one price, what's included, how many revision rounds, which files you'll receive and when. No hourly billing, so you never have to wonder whether a question will cost you.

03

3. Direction first, then polish

I show distinct directions early, in context — on the box, the shirt, the phone screen — not floating on a white page. Once we agree on one, we refine it together. Deciding direction before polish saves the rounds that usually burn a budget.

04

4. Files that work the first time

You get print-ready files set up for your printer, web versions, and editable templates where they make sense. If the printer has a question, it comes to me.

Most design problems are really decisions made in the wrong order.

Takeaway

Know what happens next at every step. A predictable process is what makes good work feel effortless.
